Report Stolen Phone

Step 1 of 4

What's the brand of your device?

Reports are filed against the IMEI, on any brand.

Device brand

How reporting helps

Multiple databasesYour IMEI is flagged across registries
Blocks resaleMakes the handset far harder to sell on
Written confirmationProof you can share with your carrier

No signup

Submit the form and you are done. Nothing to join.

IMEI or serial

Use the 15-digit IMEI (*#06#) or the serial if that is what you have.

Confirmation screen

You get an on-page success message when the request is recorded.

Why a carrier-only report is often not enough

Calling your carrier is still the right move. It is not always the whole story.

  • Networks do not share every flag the same way

An IMEI block on one carrier may not show up the same on every network or every country.

  • Find My and Google lock accounts, not every radio path

Lost Mode and Find My Device protect the login and the screen. They do not replace a carrier IMEI report.

  • Thieves still try to resell

A paper trail (police case + blacklist + account lock) makes the handset harder to sell on legitimate channels.

How the UnlockHere report form works

  1. Choose the brand

Pick the maker of the missing phone. Reports are keyed to the IMEI, not the marketing name.

  2. Enter IMEI or serial

Dial *#06# on another phone you own, check the box sticker, or pull the number from your carrier account.

  3. Submit and confirm

Add a name and email, accept the terms, and submit. You will see a success screen. No membership step.

What a multi-step report is for

Broader visibility

Account lock, carrier blacklist, and police records cover different gaps. Stack them.

Harder resale

A blacklisted or Activation-Locked device is a worse flip for someone trying to sell it as clean.

A record you can share

Case numbers and confirmation emails help with insurance and carrier follow-up.

What to do in the first hour

Do these in order when you can. Official steps are free if you already have account access.

ActionWhy
Mark as lost (Find My / Find My Device)Locks the screen and keeps Apple Activation Lock or Android account protection on.
Change Apple ID / Google passwordStops account takeover if the thief still has an unlocked session.
Carrier: suspend line + IMEI lost/stolen blockStops the SIM and flags the radio ID on participating networks.
Police report + case numberInsurance, carrier paperwork, and a law-enforcement record.
Optional: UnlockHere report formRecords your IMEI report request online after the official steps.

What types of stolen-phone reports exist?

The right stack depends on brand and country. These are the common ones.

Lock with iCloud or Google

On Apple, use Find My / iCloud Mark As Lost and leave the device on the account. On Android, use Find My Device to lock, ring, or erase, then change the Google password.

Lock a lost phone with iCloud Find My or Google Find My Device

Report it to your phone company

Ask the carrier to suspend service and place an IMEI lost/stolen block (blacklist) where they participate. You will usually verify the account and get a case number.

Report a lost or stolen phone IMEI to your mobile carrier

Report the IMEI to local authorities

File a police report with the IMEI, time, place, and description. Keep the case number for insurance and carrier follow-up.

File a police report that includes the phone IMEI

Add the device to more databases

Carrier and police channels are the core. Extra database filings are optional support, not a substitute for Find My, the carrier, or police.

Use the form on this page to submit a stolen-phone report request with brand, IMEI or serial, and contact details.

What we do

  • Walk you through a short online report request
  • Show a clear success screen when the request is recorded
  • Point you at the official steps you should still complete

What we do not do

  • Unlock phones or remove blacklist / Activation Lock flags
  • Guarantee every network worldwide will block the IMEI
  • Require a paid membership to finish this report

UnlockHere is an informational platform. We check eligibility and may show referrals elsewhere on the site. We do not unlock devices for you.
